Fall programing at Club Meadowvale

Level 1 Pole Dance  (4 week session – $100 plus hst)    

Tuesdays 8:30 pm  (only 2 spaces left)                   October 2 – 23 and

Saturdays 11 am       (only 2 spaces left)               October 6 –November 3 (no class oct. 13)

An introduction to the art of pole dance. You will learn transitional moves, conditioning along with spins and fun dance combos.  This foundational 4 week session will teach you the important fundamentals of pole dance as well as proper technique to ensure proper progression to more difficult levels.

Once you try this class, you will be hooked!  Get fit and have fun doing it!

Pole Fit Boot Camp

Saturdays 9am (only 1 space left) or 10 am  (full)              September 8 – 29 ( $100 plus hst)

 In this 4 week circuit style boot camp, get incredible strength, muscle definition and core conditioning like no other class can offer.  Using the pole as a vertical tool for climbs, lifts and jumps, see how fun and effective this workout can be to help you achieve your fitness goals. This class offers a unique and exciting way to get and stay in shape.  This is NOT a dance class.  It is a workout. Only 3 spaces available in each class

 

Fit Body Boot Camp  8 week session – $120 plus hst

Wednesdays 7:30 pm         September 12 – November 7 (no class oct 31)

This fitness boot camp program is unlike any other:

  • It is specifically designed to integrate tough work- outs with the support and motivation of a team
  • The activities are challenging and each day of boot camp is unique.
  • Competition is encouraged and trying your best is mandatory.
  • Individual and team work-outs push everyone on their own level.
  • The classes are hard, but everyone tries their best and is expected to perform at their own level

So now you are hooked!  We knew it!

Begin expanding your pole move repertoire with mover advanced spins and combos continually strengthening and developing the muscles needed for later classes.  Fine tune previously learned moves and see how they can flow into the newly learned skills.

Cradle, heel attitude , diamond, seats, b hook, reverse grab, combo spins, pole spin ups, static holds, shoulder mount conditioning +

Here we go to a whole new level!  Upside down!  Learn your basic invert and exciting ways to dismount.  You will also learn the beautiful craft of spiral spins – an art in itself as well as the static helicopter.

Continually building on previous skills, combine everything into super sexy and fun dance combos expanding your ability and confidence in this art

Some moves learned in this level:

Helicopter, basic invert, revers grab straight/diamond/attitude, power spiral/corkscrew, front grab spiral, side spin +

Tricks anyone?  This level introduces you to the fundamental tricks which we will build on to perform even more advanced moves.  Every move learned in this level is essential to such moves as the Ayisha, jade, extended butterfly and more!

Gemini, Scorpio, plank, boomerang, caterpillar, reverse grab to diamond, wrist seat, butterfly, peter pan

The Lebert Equalizer is another amazing piece of equipment.  As any of you who have been either training with me or doing my classes knows, I have been using them for everything from bootcamps to one on ones.  You can work your entire body with this and it is super easy to hide away or travel with.

This is an intermediate spin. You will want to be comfortable with the chair spin before attempting this spin. Stay close to the pole as you start to learn and gradually begin to distance your hips as your shoulder girdle become stronger and more conditioned to the strain placed on it.

YESTERDAY TODAY AND TOMORROW…

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One of these days is Yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.

 

All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday.

We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said.

Yesterday is gone.

 

The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and poor performance.

Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control.

Tomorrow’s sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds – but it will rise.

Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

 

This leaves only one day – Today – Anyone can fight the battles of just one day.

It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities – Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of Today that drives us mad – it is remorse or bitterness for something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring.

 

Let us, therefore, live but one day at a time.
